    The latest nutjob conspiracy theory

    Thursday, December 4, 2008, 07:03 PM [General]

I'm guessing you've heard the latest right wing hot issue.....they're trying to convince people that Obama wasn't born in the USA.They claim he was born in Kenya or some other place. They say his true place of birth is clouded with sinister coverups.Or if they are willing to admit at all that  Obama was born in Hawaii they try to say that Hawaii wasn't a state at the time of his birth. He was born in 1961,hawaii became a state in 1959.Do the math ,Cledus.Oh sorry, you don't understand numbers and sech high falutin' things.

the sad thing is tons of people are buying this poop as being fact. There are  on-line petitions you can sign to start investigations into the matter and a hundred other goofy bogus directions these redneck bigots take in their sore loser whine that Obama shouldn't be president.Just today I read a new post on Topix.com that all the hospitals in Hawaii have denied that Obama was born at their facility. And most people took this fabricated junk as the truth, hook ,line and sinker.

Do these goobers really think that 1) a hospital will release patient info just because someone calls and asks for it and 2) that a hospital would even keep records from 1961?  Jesus how desperate can you get?

i wish Repubs would just learn to take their election day lumps like men but I guess that ain't gonna happen.Everytime they lose we get a round of redistricting and gerrymandering, lawyers and lawsuits, impeachments or whatever else they can think of to undo a legal legit election.

The ironic thing about this whole fabricated  post election "issue" is that it is John McCain who wasn't born in this country. He was born in Panama and NOT on a military base either.Of course when you tell one of the sore losers this it is brushed aside and never even addressed. Some Constitutional scholars even said before the election that McCain wasn't technically allowed to be president should he win.Of course had he won very few,if any, over here on the left would have made an issue of McCain's citizenship.

But now we have the bigots and the rednecks, whose main gripe with Obama is that he is black, making an issue out of nothing at all. Go home to your dreary little hate filled lives. The election is over. Obama won.

Take your birth certificate and ram it up your ass.

musically ,where are we at ?

    Saturday, November 15, 2008, 09:53 AM [General]

me and the wife and our two girls were traveling somewhere the other night and while the girls listended to their ipods me and my wife talked.during a lull in our conversation i heard some music from the ipods and it got me to thinking......

years ago, back in the 50's perhaps,a transistor radio was a big deal.the kids would have one stuck in their ears and be bopping and hopping to that rock and roll beat.I got an old transistor that was in a desk I got after a relative died...the radio was still in its original box and it was no doubt 2 or 3 dollars when it was bought all those years ago.i stuck a battery in it and it fired right up and the sound was clear but tinny and thin not something ,as a music lover,id want to listen to to get my daily music fix from.of course these little AM radios were replaced by those that would pull in the FM stations and that improved the sound somewhat but not a great deal.then records came along and fed the need ,big and wide and not transportable,8-tracks came along to feel in the need to move the music with you.

8-tracks got eaten regularly and had to be rushed to the 8-track hospital to be retaped and rewound until the damage was so great they were put away as a memento and never to be played again.I got a beatles 8-track that i lovingly repaired several times until sadly i came to realize it has suffered enough and I retired it to its  slot in the 8-track case for evermore.with 8-tracks we got portability but we lost the cool album artwork and the liner notes and other neato stuff that was sometimes crammed into an album.

then came cassettes and again we lost even more of the album artwork but they were smaller and got eaten just a little bit less than 8-tracks so we thought we were in high cotton.

Then BOOM! ---cds came along and man we had hit gold.......nothing to get eaten and you could still get the album artwork, tho smaller but still there, and you could read the liner notes too.and the sound! wow you could even hear the beatles breath sometimes during a song!you could hear music like never before and no matter how many times you played it the sound didnt degrade!so we're done right?Nope....suddenly after i built quite a sizeable cd collection,in addition to a sizeable LP collection and medium sized 8-track collection Im told that all that stuff is obsolete ,even the CDs!

Download your music they say,get an ipod and you can cram thousands of songs on there, the size of a credit card, music for months without hearing the same song twice.wow.....but wait......so now we dont have artwork,no liner notes,no history of the artist ,no idication of the songwriter, sometimes no artist ,just a song,in poor quality mp3 format, playing on an ipod.so this is progress.......kids holding an ipod listening to tinny poor quality sounding  music coming out of a little box............damn after 50 years of sound advancement in music we are right back to basically the transistor radio, but only it cost several hundred times what the original ones did.

people  with their ipods dont seem to care that mp3s have only about 10 to 15 % of the sound quality that a cd has,its a staus symbol and thing to have, good thing it'll hold thousands of songs cause who wants to listen to Fiddy Cent or Rascal Flatts more than once anyway?

Wanna save a bundle? get the kids a transistor radio with an earplug and tell'em its an ipod already loaded with an endless supply of songs, just turn the dial to change songs to something you like.you aint doing nothing underhanded cause the radio has probably got better sound quality than the ipod anyway.its a good start  down the long road from ipods back to the CD.it'll only take us 50 years again.

    Just go away Sarah

    Thursday, November 13, 2008, 06:10 PM [General]

So Sarah Palin gave a speech today at the governors conference and she spoke about what is wrong with the Republican party. How ironic.Someone get that poor lady a mirror she can look into.......

What's wrong with the Republican party is candidates like Palin herself.....a party who puts forth candidates ,devoid of ideas or ideals, even their own,who start acting like cornpone  hicks to try and appeal to ,to use their cringe inducing phrase"Joe Six Pack", and instead of addressing the issues they immediately will throw out the worn out rhetoric about loving Jesus and loving  guns and hating gays, blah ,blah,blah......McCain and Palin spent the better part of their campaign camera time talking down to the American people ,blubbering about Joe the plumber or soccer moms or some other silly nonsense while Americans worried about their jobs and their futures.Look in the mirror Sarah,YOU and a string of candidates like you all over the country ,is what's wrong with the Republican party.Your party has become a party of big spending and needless wars and pathetic candidates.Oh well they'll change when they lose enough elections.......

I listened to John Fogerty's new CD today called"Revival",its really a great CD from one of the all time great songwriters in rock history......he has a couple of scathing songs on there directed at Bush and company......it really rocks........get a copy.

67 days until the worst presidency in US history is over.......keep your heads down and hope we can hold out.

    later.
