I've been curious about the silence of the entire nation outside the Progressive community on Bush's lies about the intelligence on Iraq.   It seems that eveything the nation was told about the need to invade Iraq was fabricated(no surprise there really,),yet here we are five years later, with Bush still in the White House. 

When did it become acceptable to lie before Congress?  It certainly wasn't acceptable for Bill Clinton to lie about being involved in a sexual liaision between two consenting adults.  That was an impeachable offense.  Yet Bush creates a fiction of operatic proportions, involves the US in an unending quagmire of a war, hires companies to police the area that have ties to his administration,condones acts of torture and nothing happens.  Congress is strangely silent. 

I am disgusted by the political atmosphere that has festered under the Bush Administration, but am outraged that even our Democratic leaders haven't taken him to task and begun impeachment proceedings against him.
